Back in Baghdad ...
Readers, I arrived back in Baghdad last Monday. The trip back was remarkably trouble free and, dare I say, efficient. Why is it always so smooth coming back? I've jumped back into the work routine here and haven't had time to post a proper update. More to come when I get a chance. Thanks for your patience.
I am a Navy Reservist who was recalled for one year's service in Iraq between October, 2007 and October, 2008.

Rico,
Welcome back to the combat zone.
I'm sure you're drinking from the firehose the same way I was when I got back to the 'Stan.
Been listening to an awful lot of Herbert Howells at work lately. For some reason, it calms me enough to think clearly.

Thanks, brother! You got that right. I've been listening to the Crash soundtrack a lot at work.
hi, why not sharing some pictures of the trip? :-)
Tragically, I didn't take any pictures. Too busy, I'm afraid.
